Many years ago, I had one session with a “money” coach. He specialized in working with entrepreneurial women. He asked me, “If you did one thing before you died, that filled you with passion - what would it be?”

I answered, “I want to give back. I really want to give back. I want to start a foundation. But, I don’t have any idea how to do that!”

His response changed my life. “You don’t have to know ‘the how’ you just need to begin. The rest will fall into place.”

And it did. Step by step it fell into place. One door unlocked another and another until the Spirited Woman Foundation was born.

It was one of the happiest days of my life when the Spirited Woman Foundation actually began. 

Finally, 12 years after Spirited Woman’s birth, my dream of establishing The Spirited Woman Foundation came true. That was well over a decade ago!

The purpose and mission of the Spirited Woman Foundation is "To help heal and support women through actions of empowerment.”

I am proud to say the Foundation has become an integral part of our growing empowerment community - carrying our mission even further and inspiring us even more - and it has given us an opportunity TOGETHER to help others who deeply need our help.

A large portion of our Foundation money is raised through our various heartfelt activities and projects. 1000s of Spirited Women worldwide have supported the Foundation and continue to do so.

Through our Sisterhood of the Sacred Scarves Project, over 4,000 Spirited Woman Prayer Scarves were sold to over 1,000 women internationally, and more than $20,000 was distributed to 18 non-profits.

Now, the majority of our Foundation proceeds come from a percentage of the sale of our "Painted Prayers,” a collection of my energy artwork expressed through cards and original art. Each Painted Prayer is a symbol of spirit, empowerment and beauty as were our prayer scarves.

Also, I am proud to say, that select companies with similar missions have stepped up to the plate to help support us too.

To date, all that we have achieved is only the beginning of what we can accomplish.

That “money” coach I hired was a pretty smart guy. He realized that my key to money was giving back. That once you give, you get. In whatever way that is for you - that, that is the true meaning of abundance.

I have been fortunate to attract women to the Spirited Woman community who feel the same way. They are givers in spirit and in actions.

Together we rise. A force of energy. A circle of light.
